No I can't but if you want to know google it. There are also plenty of people on here who will confirm it.

Well I have it is common knowledge. I think it came in in 2017. As I said go and look it up.

Well there's been a 2 current child limit in place in theory for a long time, but we all know how easily that can be worked around by getting one or more of your Golden Geese diagnosed with some spurious behavioural disorder or learning difficulty.

Go look it up if you're not familiar with how it works😉

It is kind of nuts that min wage will be 23-24k full time this coming tax year.... And yet plenty of jobs requiring qualifications, a degree, whatever barely pay much more than that

If I was some fresh uni grad at -50k net worth and my grad job was 25k i'd be fuming…........

Well this is a case of the government pushing wages up at the bottom.

what would minimum wages be if there was no minimum wage?

Without being for or against the minimum wage its is obvious that for many it would be far less. Even here in Norfolk I have no doubt that wages in Norwich would be much less. Here in the countryside it’s all old people and less immigration so the market rate is just below the new nmw.

Yet a post back you had never heard about it.

How do we all know how easily that can be worked around?

Don't need to already seen it debated and seen examples of people trying but not getting it. Go and look it up.

Minimum wage is such an odd term. Everyone thinks it's a restriction on employers, but it's actually a restriction on the price for which a worker is allowed to sell their time.

Regardless, it is a huge economic distortion and has severely damaged the economy and millions of people's prospects.

Agree. It's actually unfair on those willing to or desperate to work for less and can't get a job otherwise (particularly during a recession).

The 2 child limit was brought in years ago.

It was all over the media at the time. People on here always make out like someone can keep popping sprogs out and hoovering up the extra money, but that isn't the case and hasn't been for ages.
Yes there was a long time in which they could get extra money for increasing numbers of dependents but that loophole was closed when the government decided that much as they were worried about native population decline, they didn't want the population boosted by that class of native so put in a 2 kid limit (although I dont think it is retrospective, so in that case if someone already has four sprogs then they keep getting money for all 4 i think, but no more.

and then when its pointed out out to be false (because they haven't bothered even looking it up on google before asserting what they *know* is a FACT!) then they make up something else "oh, but they all get around it, they say their kids have ADHD and then they get a million quid each and £2 million for each additional kid, and if they don't then they find some other way around it and churn out 18 kids and live in a castle".

Oh bless, you are getting yourself all confused now aren't you.

Please try and read people's posts properly first, but I'll help you out because I'm nice like that.

I said I'd never heard of this supposed "lifetime limit" you alluded to of only 2 children for the feckless degenerate benefits abusing breeders, NOT the supposed limit of 2 CURRENT children, which as I said can be easily worked around anyway by getting one or more of your neglected, badly behaved, ill socialised offspring diagnosed with this weeks latest made up "SEN" or behavioral disorder.

BTW I've still not found any confirmation of this supposed two child lifetime limit.

It's unfair to the indigenous population to allow in 700,000+ workers from the 3rd world who'd work for £1/hr and live 10 to a room sharing work clothes to save money (looking at you Brent in London).

It's maximum 2 child limit for Child Tax Credit under Universal Credit. It matters not if they are angels or mongs, you wont get paid Child Tax credits for more than 2 kids under UC. And every new claimants are on UC , only older claimants are on legacy benefits systems. you can have 4 kids no problems , but you will only get Tax Credits paid out for 2.

Only way round it is to ensure the 1st Child is 18 when the 3rd Child is born so you only have 2 claimable "children" at any one time.

Which is the exact scenario I was referring to when I suggested how these degenerate wasters can time their breeding programmes to keep suckling at the taxpayer teat for decades. @Insane doesn't seem to understand this not very difficult to grasp concept.

And I'm pretty sure even under UC the 2 Child rule is disregarded if (when) you get one or more of them diagnosed with some ******** "SEN" or "Neurodiverse" or "behavioral" or "spectrum disorder"

What again?! ;) Good luck with the new job.

Back in December 2022 I was temping. I got around 3 telephone calls from recruitment agencies offering work. Last December there was less interest. Although that might be down to the temp assignment going permanent as they will see on my CV on a few of the job sites.

Nope you are the one who cannot grasp the concept. You can only claim for two children during the whole of your life not two at a time.
