  1. NZ update https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11038495/New-Zealand-COVID-19-death-rate-record-levels.html
  2. My firm has big offices in California and Texas. The Californian folk pay a lot more tax, and so loads are bailing out either to Texas or here.
  3. I think we agree. My point is that there are still selfish boomers and older, plus health authorities going around lecturing younger people to take a jab they really don't need.
  4. It was people proposing vaccines for young pregnant mothers, babies and kids who likely don't need it. I agree with your general comment people can do it to protect themselves. But I don't want boomers and older lecturing younger people on the topic.
  5. I take the view that it is not worth risking a single young life in order to save millions of obese pensioners who are the main victims of Covid. I'm on vacation now and just spending time by the beach. Some of the fatties waddling around are only killing themselves. The kids and I by contrast were all in the gym after breakfast. We all did a 30 minute run on the treadmills and then some weights.
  6. Forza Italian as they say. May be this revolution with start with petrol stations rather than ending at one?
  7. Right now I'd say inflation is a global issue, magnified by the UK's borrowing and trade déficit. Actual non Sterling inflation will abate, the issue here is whether the pound collapses.
  8. She was a Lib Dem previously and wanted to abolish the monarchy at one point according to this source: https://ghanafuo.com/where-did-liz-truss-go-to-school/ Not really trust worthy, sounds like she says what the audience expect.... that is Bozo continuity. Also look up Mark Field MP: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/inside-life-liz-truss-racy-25940644
  9. There is a time difference and I only ever sleep for 6 1/2 hours, they need 8 1/2. They also take an inordinate amount of time to get changed to go swimming. Trying to avoid helicoptering as they need to learn to do things themselves - boomers don't appreciate that.
  10. Just to add, this also seems to carry through into housing: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jul/20/britain-worst-built-homes-europe-extreme-weather-upgrade Everything done on the cheap.
  11. Interesting article in the FT It is behind the paywall: https://www.ft.com/content/3a8731bc-aad3-42ca-b99e-b3a553974ccf Seems to be that despite low interest rates and better access to technology, most advanced nations have failed to invest in renewing infrastructure. Again, I do think this is part of the boomer management cult. Seems we have squandered resources on giveaways.
  12. Being racist, voting Brexit, Triple Lock etc......I'd say yes they are.
  13. I'd say America and the Fed is really the power that sets inflation. Being the reserve currency gives them that. Until that changes, it is still the best bet.
  14. I do think the US has a certain safe haven value at the moment. The UK is looking bad right now due to a glut of pensioners and insufficient young workers.
