  1. You need the future buyer to get a mortgage at 2.64% for it to really work, that is why it doesn`t really work and what you have posted is just more hoping than reality. In one of the postcodes you linked to there are nearly 3000 results up to 800k, most with some sort of reduction on PropertyLog, if rates don`t get cut hard soon you are just dreaming if you think recent buyers have invested well, they can`t all find a buyer that makes their sums work, that much seems obvious even before we hit a recession or another inflation shock? Nearly 14,000 results for rental near one of your postcodes, some frankly very silly asking rents IMO and again reductions a Go Go on PropertyLog. Keep the Faith!
  2. Post up some figures for how much they will have paid off, and remember rates started rising beyond what many borrowers had experience of a couple of years ago.
  3. LOL, right, most on MN are up to their necks in debt, they did the borrowing when the borrowing was easy, like yourself it sounds like?
  4. No, you are probably the biggest HPI Troll on here, my posting on MN and MSE over the years has been a bit naughty, but I always made it quite clear what my position was, the user names gave it away, you are absolutely working overtime to pretend that this debt mess is somehow normal and can be swept under the carpet (no doubt bought on monthly payments)
  5. No, most borrow too much in the debt Ponzi and make the crash even worse because so many people have been sucked into the "must get on the ladder" nonsense.
  6. They are (were) connected via the debt Ponzi, the debt money flows upwards as people trade their "equity" for larger homes, eventually they become connected again and get electrocuted for trying to get too much for their property.
  7. I wasn`t walking around, I observed empty buses coming into the city on weekends during the festival and very quiet roads (W. Edinburgh) on weekends (this has been happening way before the Festival) this isn`t normal whatever way you want to spin it, I wouldn`t walk around during the festival if you paid me but I know my bus route into work was quiet and not rammed with visitors, a number of years ago I remember being on a bus on Princes St. (pre-trams returning) and crowds walking on the pavement were spilling into the road and stopping traffic, it was like being caught in a very large football crowd coming out of a stadium, there was an American guy on the bus saying to his pal that this was about breaching his toleration for crowds and he "wasn`t used to this" his Irish buddy just said "It`s always like this". Well it wasn`t this year, that is my point.
  8. No wonder. I`m pretty sure you are Twiglets from MN, same stream of absolute misplaced optimism and denial.
  9. No, World renowned arts festival that usually attracts massive numbers from all over the world dead as a Dodo plus systemically important banks losing 5% plus off their share price while issuing statements like "analysts were far too optimistic" = Global Recession Incoming - Do I need to spell it out for you? What analysts actually do for the public is hidden in the word itself, can you spot it?
  10. A few on here doing that, one is seeing trades lining up for a Greggs sausage roll at lunchtime and extrapolating this to a new Golden Age, another one is looking at houses selling in an exclusive area of Edinburgh where property changes hands about every 30 years if that, LOL, going to be a long dark winter I think.
