Prices in rural South West have gone mental

Any idea why prices have risen so high in Carmarthenshire and across the rural west - inc the north and even Ceredigion? Always relatively low but an old shack with a few acres will now set me back 350K or more - even just 5 years ago might've got something similar for 100K less and prices at the mo seem to be rising strongly.

Your recent comments got me dreaming again of where to retire to, in some years.

Tenby/Milford Haven seem remarkably reasonably priced. What is the reality? houseprices.io suggests good Real falls over years. But I also see extremely few £300k+ sold. So, obviously, there are loads of kite flyers.

It's a gorgeous area. Maybe we'll end up there. Qui sais?

I do like Tenby but would live outside if I had a choice - a few miles out - to avoid the summer crowds.
